Overview
Located in Boise's backyard, the foothills called the Boise Front provides one of the most popular and intensively used recreation areas in the state. Popular recreation activities on the Boise Front include off-road vehicle use, hunting, horseback riding, mountain biking, hang gliding, hiking, sightseeing, and environmental education. All trails provide broad vistas of the Boise Valley. See the website or contact a partner agency for maps and information. The Ridge to Rivers partnership is a collaborative effort between Boise Parks & Recreation, Ada County Parks and Waterways, Bureau of Land Management, Idaho Fish & Game Dept., and the US Forest Service.
