This lovely pastoral area is just 1 hr. north of Boise, where popular pasttimes include hiking, camping, mountain biking, wildlife watching, soaking in hot springs, rafting the Payette River and even attending a summer musical play in an outdoor ampitheater. Winter brings snowmobiling and nordic skiing on area trails. Garden Valley has grown in recent years to become a bedroom community to Boise.
