 Overview
The McCall Smokejumper Base is one of only four Forest Service smokejumper training bases in the United States. The complex includes smokejumper training unit, paraloft, Payette National Forest dispatch office and the McCall air tanker base. During the summer months 70 smokejumpers, 3 smokejumper aircraft and 2 air tankers are based in McCall. Tours of the facility are available at specific times.
