Overview This scenic riverside drive takes you along the wet and wild Payette River, passing through scenic Smith's Ferry and Cascade before reaching the popular resort town of McCall and shimmering Payette Lake. (Licensed river guides offer exciting whitewater rides by raft or kayak on the Payette River -contact them in advance for reservations.) This 111.7 mile trip requires 2 hours, 15 minutes on a narrow, winding paved road. Full services are in Boise, Cascade, McCall and New Meadows; limited services in Horseshoe Bend and Donnelly.
