 Overview
Several Nordic trails near Idaho City are Idaho Park 'N Ski areas, a program of Idaho Parks and Recreation. A Park 'N Ski pass or is required to park at the trailhead. Some are relatively challenging and require advanced skiing skills while other areas are suitable for intermediate to expert skiers. Trails include Whoop Um Up, Gold Fork and Banner Ridge. Rest rooms and plowed parking areas are available. Snowshoers and dogs are welcome. Two Mongolian-style yurts are available for overnight camping as well as forest service cabins.
