 Overview
This popular recreation area features some of the best snowmobiling in Idaho with well-groomed trails and backcountry play areas. Snowmobile trails take off from Cascade, Donnelly and McCall. A scenic drive from McCall along Payette Lake to the mining community of Warren becomes a snowmobile trail in winter. Beverages, food, lodging and gasoline are available along the trail at Secesh or Warren. A three-hour ride on the Winter Wonderland Trail connects McCall to the mountain meadows of Smith's Ferry. Byways offer access to backcountry areas such as Goose Lake, Brundage Reservoir, Granite Lake and more. Contact the McCall Chamber of Commerce or the Payette National Forest for more information.
