Overview
The Trinity Lakes are a popular hiking and camping destination in the Rainbow Basin area of the Boise National Forest. At 8500 feet, the basin has steep walls and rocky ridges. In addition to Big Trinity Lake, there are numerous smaller lakes such as Big Roaring and Little Roaring Lakes. Big Trinity Campground has 17 camp sites; the lookout and cabins can be rented as well. Other camp sites are at Big Roaring and Little Roaring River. Little Trinity is a day-use area only. Pedestrian trails are also in this area; no motorized vehicles or horses.
