Overview
A ski and summer resort community nestled on the shore of Payette Lake, McCall is just a two-hour drive north of Boise. It began as a timber town and is now known as one of Idaho's most popular winter-summer resorts, home to Payette Lake, Brundage Mountain Resort, the Activity Barn tubing park and Ponderosa State Park. McCall also has over 500 miles of groomed snowmobile trails rated one of the top of in the Northwest. Bring your own or rent a snowmobile for an enjoyable and scenic experience!
McCall holds an annual Winter Carnival each January (since 1924) with outstanding snow sculptures and winter activities of all kinds. It begins the last weekend of January through the first weekend in February.
