 Overview
Shafer Butte, in the mountains above Boise, is the location of Bogus Basin Resort for skiing in winter. In summer, there is a picnic area available for hikers on the Mores Mountain Interpretive Trail. Trailhead parking is on a road that climbs the south side of More's mountain from the Boise Ridge Road to the Shafer Butte Picnic Area.
