Overview
Gold mined in the Owyhee Mountains made its way to Fort Boise over desert trails and across the Snake River. This route takes you from southern Idaho farmland to the rugged Snake River Canyon, Swan Falls Dam and the Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area. Other points of interest include a pioneer cemetary near Kuna, Initial Point, a cinder hill, and Dedication Point, where you can climb to a see a breathtaking view. Route length is 30 miles - allow one hour. Full services are available in Boise, Meridian and Kuna.
