 Overview
Located just west of McCall, the Bear Basin trail head is about one mile north of Hwy. 55 on North Club Hill Blvd. Situated on approximately 700 acres of Payette National Forest land. The trail offer meadows, vistas and wooded terrain. At the parking lot there is a warming/changing yurt and toilets but no other services. During peak times the yurt is staffed, other times a fee box is located at the trail-head.
The trails at Bear Basin are operated by the Payette Lakes Ski Club. The PLSC is a non-profit community run ski club with the goal of offering affordable skiing and programs to introduce people to skiing. The PLSC was founded over 70 years ago.
