Overview
Eagle is 13 miles west of Boise and lies along Highway 44. Recently, Eagle has grown dramatically to 11,085 residents. Visit the Eagle Drug Store for a taste of early 20th century Idaho. It is located in the heart of historic downtown. Also downtown is the Saturday Market which runs from May through October. In June, Eagle Fun days is sponsored by the Eagle Chamber of Commerce. The weekend-long event has the world's largest Rocky Mountain Oyster Feed, a golf tournament, parade, carnival, bike race, and pancake breakfast.
And through the rest of the hot summer months, swim and relax at Eagle Island State Park. Star, north, of Eagle, is home to Mule Days, a Labor Day tradition. The event has a community breakfeast, parade, chili and pie cook-offs and of course, mules. Call (208) 286-7242 for more information.
