Overview
A long the shores of lake Cascade is the town of Cascade, a community of approximately 997 people. Cascade is the county seat of Valley County.
Along the lake, boating, water-skiing, fishing, and swimming are popular in the summer, and cross-country skiing and snowmobiling in the winter. Just 25 miles northeast of Cascade is Warm Lake, a very popular Idaho getaway for camping and canoeing. Cascade hosts the annual Thunder Mountain Days on the fourth of July. Festivities include a parade, breakfeast and barbecue, as well as softball, motorcycle races, and airplane and train rides. Fireworks over Cascade Lane cap off the event.
